Job summary

The Acquisition Officer will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and scaling the Group Lending and Account Acquisition initiative within their designated zone. The role will drive financial inclusion, women and youth empowerment, and grassroots economic development by working with group lending officers and ensuring smooth program delivery in line with the company's impact objectives. This position requires a community-oriented leader with excellent people management, mobilization, and reporting skills, capable of aligning field operations with the bank’s impact and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities:

Program Implementation & Coordination:

  • Lead the rollout and management of the Loan Group Lending Program within the assigned region.
  • Supervise Agent Supervisors (AS) and clusters across multiple states to achieve lending, repayment, and outreach targets.
  • Ensure full adoption of the group lending model—identification, formation, and monitoring of groups.
  • Work closely with the central program desk to plan, track, and report on field performance.


Community & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Liaise with local community leaders, women/youth groups, cooperatives, and faith-based organizations to identify viable clusters.
  • Promote financial inclusion, gender equity, and youth participation through community outreach and empowerment initiatives.
  • Represent the bank in regional forums, financial inclusion events, and partner engagements.


Monitoring & Impact Tracking:

  • Oversee credit quality and ensure timely loan repayment at the group level.
  • Monitor field activities through the provided dashboards and ensure data integrity.
  • Capture and document impact stories, highlighting improvements in beneficiaries’ livelihoods.
  • Provide monthly performance, risk, and impact reports to the Head Office.


Team Leadership & Capacity Building:

  • Train and mentor Agent Supervisors and field agents on group lending methodology, financial literacy, and digital tools.
  • Conduct field visits to support performance and resolve operational challenges.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture that emphasizes impact, accountability, and collaboration


Requirements:

  • Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in microfinance, community development, cooperative management, or faith-based program coordination.
  • Proven experience leading field teams or mobilizing community-based initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial inclusion, social impact program and group lending models.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital field tools (tablets, dashboards).
  • Willingness to travel frequently across states.

  • Impact reporting compliance (stories, photos, data)
  • Regional team performance and retention
