Job summary
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company, ensuring operational efficiency, service excellence, profitability, and compliance with industry standards. The role requires strong leadership, financial oversight, customer service excellence, and technical understanding of modern automotive systems particularly luxury vehicle brands. The ideal candidate will drive operational strategy, optimize processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure the company maintains its position as a leading luxury automobile repair and diagnostics center in Edo State.

Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Service Delivery:
- Supervise daily operations across all departments: Workshop/Diagnostics, Customer Service, Inventory & Procurement, Administration, and Finance.
- Design, implement, and enforce workflow systems to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
- Establish and maintain service standards aligned with international best practices for luxury vehicle repairs.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and workshop facilities are maintained and upgraded when necessary.
- Monitor repair timelines and minimize repeat jobs resulting from poor workmanship.
Financial Management & Performance Monitoring:
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including profit margins, cost control, productivity levels, and cash flow.
- Review monthly financial statements and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure pricing structures remain competitive while sustaining profitability.
- Drive cost optimization without compromising service quality.
Customer Experience & Business Growth:
- Ensure consistent delivery of a premium, 5-star customer experience tailored to high-net-worth and luxury vehicle clients.
- Implement customer retention strategies, loyalty programs, and CRM systems.
- Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships (corporate clients, dealerships, insurance companies, OEMs).
- Strengthen the company’s brand positioning as a leading luxury auto repair center.
Technical & Quality Control Oversight:
- Supervise the Head of Workshop and Technical Leads to ensure compliance with OEM repair standards.
- Enforce strict quality control procedures across all repair and diagnostic processes.
- Ensure the use of genuine OEM parts and approved tools.
- Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies and diagnostic systems, especially for luxury brands.
Inventory & Procurement Management:
- Oversee inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels of frequently used parts.
- Establish procurement guidelines prioritizing authenticity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate documentation and accountability for parts usage and materials.
People Management & Leadership:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate department heads and key staff.
- Implement performance management systems, KPIs, and appraisal frameworks.
- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, excellence, and innovation.
- Ensure continuous technical training on modern automotive technologies.
- Enforce workplace safety standards and compliance protocols.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures.
- Oversee insurance policies, legal compliance, and asset protection measures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in automobile operations management, preferably within luxury auto services.
- Strong financial management and business strategy skills.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Solid understanding of OEM standards and modern automotive diagnostic systems.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
