Job summary
The Café Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Café Verde, ensuring exceptional customer service, consistent drink quality, staff performance, and achievement of sales targets. The Manager will supervise staff, manage inventory, control costs, and uphold the brand standards of Café Verde.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily café operations
- Ensure smooth opening and closing procedures
- Monitor workflow efficiency behind the bar
- Ensure drink recipes are followed accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ensure all equipment (espresso machine, blender, POS) is functioning properly
Staff Supervision:
- Supervise baristas, cashiers, and cleaners
- Prepare weekly staff schedules
- Train new employees
- Monitor staff punctuality and performance
- Enforce company policies and discipline
- Conduct performance evaluations
Sales & Financial Management:
- Monitor daily sales performance
- Ensure staff meet assigned sales targets
- Track expenses and reduce wastage
- Reconcile daily cash and POS transactions
- Prepare weekly sales and stock reports
- Implement upselling strategies
Inventory & Supply Management:
- Monitor stock levels (matcha, milk, syrups, cups, lids, etc.)
- Place orders with approved suppliers
- Prevent stock shortages or over-ordering
- Track wastage and control costs
Customer Experience:
- Handle customer complaints professionally
- Ensure friendly and efficient service
- Maintain Café Verde brand presentation
- Ensure aesthetic presentation of drinks
Requirements:
- Minimum OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree (Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred)
- 2–3 years experience in café/restaurant management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Basic accounting and reporting knowledge
- Ability to work weekends and holidays

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Remuneration: NGN 200,000 - 250,000
