Sales / Business Development Officer
Job summary
We are seeking a driven and results-orientated sales/business development officer to identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and drive revenue growth. You will be the face of the company to prospects, turning leads into long-term customers.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Research and identify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, social media, and market research
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure retention and upsell opportunities
- Sales Presentations & Pitching: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations tailored to client needs
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to close deals while achieving company targets
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new markets and product improvements
- Pipeline Management: Manage sales pipeline using CRM tools, track progress, and provide accurate sales forecasts
- Collaboration: Work with marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure client requirements are met and delivered
- Reporting: Submit weekly/monthly reports on sales activity, revenue, and KPIs to management
- HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- A minimum of 2 years in sales, business development, or a B2B client-facing role. Experience in engineering field
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong networking and relationship-building ability
- Target-driven with proven record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM software like HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce
- Self-motivated, confident, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel for client meetings.
- A valid driver’s licence is a plus
