Job Summary
The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day running of the cloud kitchen, ensuring that all kitchen operations, from order processing to food preparation, delivery coordination, and inventory management, run efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with safety and hygiene standards. The role involves supervising kitchen and logistics teams, maintaining quality control, optimising resources, and driving customer satisfaction through seamless operational delivery.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Operations & Process Management:
- Oversee daily operations across all kitchen brands and virtual outlets.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment through all delivery platforms (e.g., Jumia Food, Glovo, Bolt Food, etc.).
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food preparation, packaging, and dispatch.
- Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Manage workflow schedules and ensure optimal use of manpower and kitchen capacity.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
- Supervise procurement, inventory control, and stock rotation to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Monitor vendor performance, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits.
Quality, Hygiene & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP standards).
- Conduct routine checks on cleanliness, equipment functionality, and kitchen safety.
- Organise regular staff training on hygiene and operational protocols.
Financial & Cost Control:
- Track daily sales and operational costs, ensuring profit targets are met.
- Prepare weekly/monthly operational reports and performance analyses.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Technology & Delivery Platform Management:
- Manage integration and performance on delivery platforms (e.g., POS systems, aggregator dashboards).
- Track orders, resolve technical or order-related issues, and maintain real-time communication with platforms.
- Use analytics to optimise menu performance and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Staff Management:
- Supervise kitchen staff, dispatch riders, and support team members.
- Conduct staff appraisals, manage shift rosters, and ensure discipline and teamwork.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff for performance excellence and service quality.
Customer Service & Feedback Management:
- Monitor customer ratings and reviews; address complaints or operational lapses promptly.
- Work closely with marketing and customer service teams to enhance customer experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years of proven experience in F&B operations (preferably in a cloud kitchen, restaurant, or QSR setup)
- Experience managing delivery platforms and high-volume food operations
- Certification in Food Safety or HACCP (an advantage)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
- In-depth understanding of kitchen operations and food production workflows
- Proficiency in delivery platform dashboards and POS systems
- Financial literacy and ability to interpret data and KPIs
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance regulations
Remuneration: NGN 200,000 - 250,000
