We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a food processing and packaging company. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Operations & Supervision:
- Oversee the daily food processing and packaging activities to ensure high quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Supervise production staff and enforce adherence to safety, hygiene, and operational policies.
- Ensure effective inventory management, procurement of raw materials, and timely delivery of finished goods
Sales & Marketing:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase product visibility and grow market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Liaise with NAFDAC and other regulatory authorities to secure and maintain approvals, certifications, and licenses.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and internal company policies
Administrative & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of production, sales, and inventory.
- Use MS Excel and MS Word to create reports, track data, and present information to management.
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting for the food division.
Leadership & People Management:
- Provide leadership to staff to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a culture of honesty, teamwork, and accountability.
- Implement and enforce company policies, code of conduct, and ethical practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in food processing, agribusiness, or operations management.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory approvals (NAFDAC, SON, etc.) in the food industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other productivity tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
