  • Operate a permit-to-work system for higher-risk contractor activity during

branch/warehouse projects and developments.

  • Maintain HSE oversight for outsourced facility management providers. Conduct periodic

safety audits of contractors, subcontractors, and outsourced facility management
providers engaged on construction/renovation projects, facilities work and logistics
covering safety certifications, PPE compliance, and site conditions, and track their
corrective actions to closure.

Fire Safety & Emergency Preparedness

  • Maintain and coordinate implementation of the Emergency Response Plan across

offices, warehouses, repair centres, and other operational locations.

  • Coordinate fire drills and ensure emergency response equipment is present, functional

and inspected on schedule at every Moniepoint location.

  • Provide HSE input into Business Continuity and Operational Resilience planning.

Incident & Accident Management

  • Maintain the incident and accident investigation procedure and register for physical,

facilities-related incidents at Moniepoint locations.

  • Carry out root-cause investigations for workplace and facilities-related incidents and

track corrective actions to closure.

  • Analyse incident/accident data for trends across Moniepoint locations and use findings

to prioritise prevention efforts rather than reacting incident-by-incident.

  • Ensure serious incidents are escalated to Management and the ESG Officer in

accordance with the Incident Escalation Procedure.

  • Share lessons learned from investigations with employees and relevant contractors.

PPE, Ergonomics & Facility Safety

  • Ensure appropriate PPE is provided for workers at the POS Repair Centers,

where they intersect with physical workplace safety.
Road Safety

  • Provide support to develop and implement road safety programmes for employees and

contractors undertaking work-related travel.

  • Provide support to assess and mitigate delivery- and installation-specific risks for

Business Relationship Managers and field agents, including manual handling of POS
hardware and lone-working exposure at merchant premises.
OHS & Environmental Compliance, Permitting and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety legislation, including

the Labour Act, Factories Act, NSITF requirements, Fire Service regulations, and other
applicable workplace safety requirements.

  • Maintain statutory occupational health and safety records and coordinate renewal of

applicable workplace safety permits and certifications, and statutory inspections

  • Monitor and log environmental incidents and non-compliance events at Moniepoint

facilities as part of the environmental compliance programme

  • Feed OHSE compliance status into the ESG risk and compliance register maintained by

the ESG Officer.

  • Provide facility-level environmental data (electricity consumption, waste volumes, water

use) already collected through Facilities & Administration operations, to inform both
operational decision-making and the ESG Officer's enterprise environmental reporting.
Training and Capacity Building

  • Design and deliver relevant OHS training such as first aid, firefighting, fire warden and

evacuation marshal training sufficient to cover Moniepoints locations, offices, repair
centres, and warehouses.

  • Coordinate delivery of road safety and personnel safety training with the Learning and

Development, Facilities, and Security teams.
