Job Summary

The Field BDM leads and supervises all field sales activities within assigned regions. (Abia • Anambra • Cross River • Enugu • Imo • Kano • Oyo • FCT (Abuja). He/ she is responsible for route-to-market execution, distributor management, team supervision, and achieving overall territory sales growth.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and supervise Field BDs and Field Sales Representatives.
  • Design and execute territory route-to-market (RTM) strategies.
  • Identify and manage distributors, sub-distributors, wholesalers, and bulk buyers.
  • Set, monitor, and drive target achievement across all territories.
  • Monitor field teams’ coverage, route compliance, and outlet expansion.
  • Conduct field visits regularly to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure product availability, pricing compliance, and visibility across the region.
  • Review stock levels, demand forecast, and support distributors with stock planning.
  • Handle escalations from key retailers and trade partners.
  • Oversee trade activations, marketing campaigns, and product launches in the field.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales performance reports and recommend strategic actions.


Requirements:

  • HND in Marketing, Business, or related fields.
  • 3–6 years of sales experience with at least 1–2 years in field supervision.
  • Proven experience managing field sales representatives and territory operations.
  • Strong network of distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and territory planning abilities.
  • Ability to travel frequently across multiple markets.
  • Must be highly strategic, field-oriented, and results-driven.
