We offer innovative and high-quality professional services in environmental management, resource management, sustainability and CSR reporting, and capacity building and advisory services.


Role Description


The Environmental Projects Officer supports the planning, delivery, monitoring, and reporting of environmental and sustainability initiatives. The role involves coordinating field activities, conducting research, engaging stakeholders, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, and contributing to the successful implementation of environmental management and sustainability projects; ensuring that they are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed quality standards. 


Educational Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability Studies, Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a related field.

·        A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years experience in environmental project implementation, fieldwork, or environmental compliance.
  • Experience working with NGOs, consulting firms, or development projects is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of environmental management tools and sustainability frameworks.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
  • Familiarity with ESIA/ESMP processes and relevant national environmental regulations.
  • Ability to use GIS, environmental modelling tools, or data analysis software is a plus.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions

  • Combination of office work and field duties.
  • Occasional travel to project sites and partner locations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
