The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic leadership, vision, and oversight to position the company as a leader in inclusive, technology-driven microinsurance. The CEO is responsible for driving growth, partnerships, innovation, and compliance to deepen insurance penetration and financial inclusion across Nigeria.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Strategic
Leadership & Vision:
- Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision and
growth roadmap for the company.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
- Represent the company in regulatory, industry, and strategic partnership
forums.
Business Development & Partnerships:
- Drive partnerships with fintechs, telcos, cooperatives,
and development agencies.
- Oversee distribution strategies to scale insurance adoption through digital
and traditional channels.
- Identify strategic alliances and investments to strengthen the company’s market
reach.
Operations & Organizational Management:
- Oversee underwriting, claims, customer experience, and IT
systems for efficiency.
- Establish KPIs, governance structures, and internal controls for optimal
performance.
- Ensure data security and operational transparency.
Financial Management & Sustainability:
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and capital
plans.
- Ensure prudent premium management and claims payout efficiency.
- Lead fundraising and investor relations efforts, including donor and equity
engagement.
Product Innovation & Digital Transformation:
- Champion the development of digital microinsurance
products.
- Supervise AI, data analytics, and InsurTech integration for product design.
- Promote data-driven decision-making for customer insights and performance
tracking.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure full compliance with NAICOM and financial sector
regulations.
- Maintain robust risk management and data protection systems.
- Build transparent relationships with regulators and auditors.
Marketing, Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Promote insurance literacy and advocacy through digital
storytelling.
- Strengthen brand visibility via media, policy dialogues, and partnerships.
- Represent the company as a thought leader in financial inclusion and
insurance innovation.
Human
Capital Development:
- Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team.
- Promote continuous learning, capacity building, and inclusivity.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Impact Measurement & Reporting:
- Establish systems to measure and report social and
economic impact.
- Ensure transparency in impact reporting to stakeholders and partners.
Board Relations & Governance:
- Act as the key liaison between the Board of Directors and
management
- Present strategic and operational reports to the board.
- Implement governance best practices for accountability.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification working experience for Associates of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria or its equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years of working experience in the Technical Department of an insurance institution may suffice, for Non-associate members of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria
