Job summary
We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Business Manager (Head of Business) to lead institutional sales and digital channel development across multiple hygiene, sanitation, and infection prevention solution categories.

Responsibilities:
Strategic & Commercial Leadership:
- Develop and lead the overall commercial strategy across institutional and digital sales channels
- Drive revenue growth and market expansion across multiple sectors
- Provide strategic direction aligned with organizational goals
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor Business Development Managers and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Content, IT)
- Set performance targets and ensure accountability across teams
- Build a high-performance, results-driven culture
Market Expansion & Business Growth:
- Drive growth across healthcare institutions, laboratories, food service environments, agricultural enterprises, NGOs, and government agencies
- Identify new markets, opportunities, and revenue streams
- Develop and execute strategies for market penetration and expansion
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with institutional decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Engage with government agencies, NGOs, and donor-funded organizations where applicable
- Represent the organization in strategic engagements and partnerships
Partnerships & Business Development:
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships that support long-term growth
- Lead negotiations and secure high-value contracts and collaborations
Digital & Sales Channel Alignment:
- Align field-based sales activities with digital engagement channels
- Drive customer acquisition and retention through integrated online and offline strategies
- Leverage digital tools to improve sales performance and customer experience
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments
- Provide senior management with sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic insights
- Use data-driven insights to inform business decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Ensure strong coordination between commercial, marketing, technical, and operations teams
- Drive alignment across all business units to achieve organizational objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Public Health, Microbiology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Animal Science, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or related discipline
- MBA or membership with SFH (Society for Family Health) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in business development, institutional sales, or commercial leadership roles
- Proven experience managing sales teams and cross-functional business units
- Strong understanding of institutional procurement processes across healthcare, food service, agriculture, or public health sectors
- Good understanding of digital sales channels and customer engagement platforms
- Experience working with government institutions, NGOs, or donor-funded programs is an advantage
- Willingness to travel nationwide as required

Remuneration: NGN 800,000 – 900,000
