Job Summary

A reputable diagnostic services provider in Maitama, Abuja, is looking for a Business Development & Relationship Officer to drive growth and build strong business partnerships.

  • Minimum Qualification : Degree

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to identify new markets and growth opportunities, setting sales targets and forecasting.
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
  • Sales and Negotiation: Prepare and present business proposals, pitches, and presentations, and negotiate and finalise agreements and contracts.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to guide decision-making. 


Relationship Management:

  • Client Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Client Needs Assessment: Understand client needs, objectives, and pain points to develop customised solutions.
  • Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact, address client concerns, and respond promptly to inquiries and issues.
  • Account Growth: Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximise revenue.
  • Client Retention: Ensure client satisfaction by monitoring performance, addressing complaints, and gathering feedback for improvement. 


Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as sales, marketing, product development, and finance to support business goals and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and other performance metrics to management. 


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, and marketing
  • Must be business-oriented with excellent marketing skills
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain business relationships with organisations
  • Minimum of B.Sc. in a related field
  • Experience in the healthcare or diagnostics industry is an added advantage


Location: Maitama, Abuja

Compensation: Competitive salary + commission structure
