Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Business Development Executive/Officer to join our growing team. He/she will be a results-driven professional responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new market opportunities, and building strategic partnerships within the financial technology ecosystem. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record of sales success.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Strategy: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new market opportunities. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through networking, cold calls, emails, and referrals. Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact through negotiation and deal closure.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders (e.g., C-suite executives, financial institutions).
  • Pitching & Negotiation: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches that effectively communicate the company's value proposition and tailored solutions. Lead contract negotiations to ensure mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to align business development efforts with overall company goals and ensure seamless client solutions.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyse sales data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and ROI related to business development activities, providing regular reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and expand professional networks. 


Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the technology, SaaS, or financial services industry. A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets is essential.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is typically required or preferred.
  • Fintech Knowledge: A strong understanding of the financial technology landscape, digital payments, market dynamics, and competitive trends.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite is a must. Familiarity with data analytics tools and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building rapport and influential relationships.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while also being a strong team player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions to client needs.
