Job Summary
The Agricultural Commodities Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the storage, handling, and distribution of agricultural products such as grains, seeds and produce. This role ensures products are stored under optimal conditions to maintain quality, coordinates with suppliers and logistics partners, and manages warehouse staff and operations to maximize efficiency and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the storage, inventory, and distribution of agricultural commodities, ensuring products are maintained in optimal conditions to prevent spoilage and loss
- Implement and manage inventory management systems, including regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with suppliers, farmers, and transporters to facilitate timely and accurate deliveries
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards and industry-specific guidelines
- Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Analyze warehouse operations to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Develop and enforce quality assurance protocols to ensure all products meet industry and regulatory requirements
- Manage the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations
- Prepare and manage warehouse budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost control measures
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and warehouse activities; generate regular reports and performance metrics
- Lead the adoption of new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, enforcing housekeeping
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role in agricultural commodities or a related sector
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, logistics software, and warehouse best practices
- Experience with regulatory compliance in agricultural warehousing
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions
- Physical ability to work in a warehouse environment and oversee manual operations as needed
- Must be a resident of the area where the warehouse is located.
Remuneration: NGN 200,000 Net
