Group Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

• Market Analysis: Research and analyse industry trends, competitor performance,  and economic factors that might impact the group's overall financial performance and strategic direction. 
• Financial Modelling: Build complex financial models to forecast future revenue,  expenses, profitability, and capital needs under various scenarios. These models are used to support strategic decision-making by the group's leadership. 
• Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Play a crucial role in M&A activities by analysing potential targets, valuing companies, and assessing the financial feasibility and risks associated with potential deals. Also, help structure the transaction and prepare the necessary documentation. 
• Capital Budgeting: Evaluate potential investments in new ventures, loan portfolios, or capital expenditures. This involves analysing the financial viability,  potential risks and returns, and recommending investment decisions aligned with the group's overall strategy. 
• Capital Adequacy Analysis: Ensures the group maintains sufficient capital reserves to meet regulatory requirements and absorb potential financial losses.  This involves analysing capital ratios, stress testing the group's financial position under different economic conditions and making recommendations to maintain appropriate capital levels. 
• Developing Investor Relations Materials: Prepare financial presentations and reports for investors and analysts, communicating the group's financial performance and outlook. 
• Develop and Implement Investment Strategies: Create investment plans aligned with the group's overall risk tolerance and financial goals. This involves asset allocation, deciding how much to invest in different asset classes like stocks,  bonds, and alternative investments. 
• Security Selection: Research and select individual securities (stocks, bonds, etc.)  to build and manage investment portfolios. This requires in-depth financial analysis, market research, and staying updated on economic trends. 
• Portfolio Monitoring and Rebalancing: Continuously monitor the performance of the portfolios, adjust as needed to maintain the target asset allocation, and manage risk exposure.
• Performance Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders, summarising portfolio performance and justifying investment decisions. 
• Scenario Planning, Forecasting, and Analysis: Develop and analyse multiple financial scenarios to guide strategic decisions, evaluate potential risks, and optimise financial outcomes.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 7 – 9 years of experience in corporate finance and strategic financial  analysis 
• A master’s in business administration or Master of Science in Finance or other related fields such as accounting and economics. 
• A CFA certificate is also highly preferred  
• A strong work ethic and the ability to handle pressure and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills using tools like Excel and  Bloomberg. 
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to convey complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, investment principles, corporate finance principles, and risk management practices. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
