Job Summary
The Business Development & Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships and key retail accounts to significantly increase the distribution and sales volume of our products across Lagos and its environs. This role is pivotal to our growth strategy and requires a blend of sales expertise, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter and an excellent communicator and must possess a valid driver’s license with proven driving experience to manage client meetings, corporate deliveries, and secure new business opportunities across Lagos.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Partnership & Alliance Strategy
- Identify and secure high-value partnerships across various sectors, including major Supermarket Chains, Corporate Offices, Hotels, Gyms, Restaurants, Schools, etc.
- Develop and execute formal proposals to prospective key accounts that clearly articulate Starbite's value proposition.
- Negotiate and finalize distribution agreements, consignment terms, and wholesale pricing structures that are profitable and sustainable for the company.
- Explore and establish new distribution channels to expand market reach.
Key Account Management
- Act as the primary relationship holder for all major retail and institutional accounts.
- Manage the sales cycle from initial contact and pitching to stock onboarding, replenishment, and performance review.
- Ensure optimal shelf presence, merchandising, and product visibility across all key retail partner locations.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like sales volume, stock turnover, and payment compliance for all managed accounts.
Market Insight & Reporting
- Provide regular feedback to the production team on market demands, product success, and competitive landscape to guide future product development and packaging improvements.
- Monitor competitor activities and pricing strategies to ensure Starbite remains competitive and profitable.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in Business Development or Key Account Management, preferably within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector, or the packaged food/beverage industry in Lagos.
- Proven track record of securing and managing large retail accounts or distribution agreements.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Deep understanding of the Lagos retail landscape and supply chain logistics.
- Must possess a valid Nigerian driver's license and demonstrate proven, comfortable driving experience within Lagos traffic and road networks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Remuneration: NGN120,000 – NGN250,000 and performance-based commission.
