- Conduct one-on-one consultations to assess students' academic backgrounds, career goals, and financial budget.
- Create personalised global education roadmaps" featuring suitable universities and programs in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe.
- Oversee the entire university application lifecycle, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Review and provide expert feedback on personal statements, statements of purpose (SOPs), and CVs.
- Liaise with university admissions offices to follow up on offer letters and clarify entry requirements.
- Identify relevant internal and external scholarship opportunities for students.
- Assist students in preparing high-quality scholarship essays and funding applications.
- Provide up-to-date advice on student visa regulations and requirements for various destinations.
- Review financial documents (proof of funds) to ensure they meet strict embassy guidelines.
- Conduct mock visa interviews to build student confidence and ensure accuracy of information.
- Maintain consistent communication with students and their families, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Utilise CRM tools to track student progress from initial inquiry to pre-departure.
- A minimum of 1 year of active experience in study-abroad counselling or international education consulting.
- Proven expertise in the admission and visa processes for at least three major destinations (e.g., UK, Canada, and USA).
- Bachelor’s degree in education, international relations, communications, or a related field.
- Exceptional ability to draft and edit professional academic documents (SOPs, reference letters).
- Highly articulate with the ability to explain complex visa policies in simple, encouraging terms.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Zoom/Teams, and CRM software.
- Empathy: A genuine desire to see African students succeed on the global stage.
- Integrity: Absolute honesty regarding visa possibilities and university requirements (no guaranteed visa promises).
- Attention to Detail: An eagle eye for spotting errors in application forms or financial documents.
- Resilience: Ability to stay calm and professional during high-pressure "peak" application seasons.
