Job summary
The Lecturer in Developmental Psychology will teach human growth and development across the lifespan, enabling nursing and midwifery students to apply psychological principles to patient care at every stage of life.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures and tutorials in Developmental/Lifespan Psychology.
- Develop course outlines, learning outcomes, and teaching materials.
- Teach core concepts such as cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development from infancy to old age.
- Relate developmental theory to nursing assessment, communication, and patient care.
- Set, administer, and grade assessments, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and feedback to students.
- Participate in curriculum review and continuous quality improvement.
- Contribute to departmental meetings and college academic activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in psychology, with specialization in Developmental/Lifespan Psychology; a Master's degree is strongly preferred and an advantage.
- At least 2–3 years of teaching or relevant professional experience, preferably at the tertiary level.
- Sound knowledge of developmental theories and their application to healthcare.
- Strong command of spoken and written English with effective presentation skills.
- Competence in digital learning tools.
- Commitment to student-centred teaching and the ICARE core values.
- Evidence of research or publication is an added advantage.
