Job summary
The Lecturer in Health Assessment will teach the knowledge and clinical skills required to perform comprehensive patient assessments, combining classroom instruction with hands-on demonstration in the skills laboratory and clinical settings.

- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, demonstrations, and skills-laboratory sessions in Health Assessment.
- Teach systematic history-taking, physical examination, and clinical reasoning techniques.
- Demonstrate and supervise assessment skills in the laboratory and clinical settings.
- Develop course outlines, learning outcomes, skills checklists, and teaching materials.
- Set, administer, and grade theoretical and practical/OSCE-style assessments.
- Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and feedback to students.
- Ensure students attain the required clinical-assessment competencies and safe practice.
- Participate in curriculum review and continuous quality improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time.
- A BNSc/B.Sc (Nursing) is required; a Master's degree (M.Sc Nursing) is strongly preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Registered Midwife (RM) with a current, valid NMCN licence.
- Strong, current clinical health assessment competence.
- At least 3 years of clinical and/or teaching experience.
- Ability to teach and assess practical clinical skills effectively.
- Competence in digital learning and clinical skills teaching tools.
- Commitment to student-centred teaching and the ICARE core values.
