Job summary

The Full-Time Nurse Educators will deliver theoretical and clinical instruction across the nursing curriculum, coordinate assigned courses, and participate fully in the academic, administrative, and quality-assurance life of the College. They will serve as role models who shape competent, compassionate, and professional nurses.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory, and clinical instruction across assigned nursing courses.
  • Coordinate assigned courses, including outlines, learning outcomes, materials, and assessments.
  • Supervise and mentor students in the classroom, skills-laboratory, and clinical settings.
  • Set, administer, and grade continuous assessments and examinations.
  • Provide academic counselling, guidance, and feedback to students.
  • Liaise with clinical placement sites to support and assess students on posting.
  • Participate in curriculum development, review, and accreditation activities.
  • Contribute to research, scholarship, and community-service initiatives of the College.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and college events.
  • Perform other administrative and academic duties assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Registered Midwife (RM) with a current, valid NMCN licence.
  • Minimum of a BNSc/B.Sc (Nursing); a Master's degree (M.Sc/MPH/M.Ed) is an advantage.
  • Nurse Educator / Tutor qualification (e.g., NTC or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • At least 3 years of clinical and/or teaching experience.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to translate it into effective teaching.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational skills.
  • Competence in digital learning tools (e.g., Canvas, Zoom, Microsoft Office).
  • Commitment to student-centred teaching and the ICARE core values.
