Job summary
The Clinical Instructor (Midwifery) will supervise and mentor students during midwifery clinical postings, ensuring they acquire and demonstrate the practical competencies required for safe, high-quality maternal and newborn care.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise, guide, and mentor students during midwifery clinical postings.
- Demonstrate, teach, and assess practical midwifery skills at the bedside and in the skills laboratory.
- Ensure students meet required clinical competencies and complete logbook/portfolio requirements.
- Liaise with clinical placement facilities and ward staff to coordinate student learning.
- Monitor student conduct, safety, and adherence to professional and ethical standards.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and document clinical performance.
- Support the integration of theory into clinical practice.
- Participate in curriculum review and quality assurance of clinical training.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, clinical hours, and progress.
- Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Registered Midwife (RM) with a current, valid NMCN licence; dual RN/RM is an advantage.
- Minimum of a BNSc/B.Sc (Nursing/Midwifery).
- Strong, current clinical midwifery practice experience.
- Preceptorship or clinical-instruction experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to teach, demonstrate, and assess practical clinical skills effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Willingness to supervise students across clinical placement facilities, including flexible hours as needed.
