Job summary
The Lecturer for the Seminar in Nursing will guide students in critical appraisal, evidence-based practice, and scholarly presentation of nursing topics. The role develops students' research, communication, and clinical-reasoning skills through structured seminar work.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate seminar sessions on contemporary nursing topics and issues.
- Guide students in literature review, critical appraisal, and evidence-based practice.
- Supervise the preparation and delivery of student seminar presentations and papers.
- Teach academic writing, referencing, and effective presentation skills.
- Set assessment criteria and evaluate student seminars fairly and consistently.
- Mentor students in research methods and professional scholarship.
- Foster critical thinking, professional ethics, and reflective practice.
- Participate in curriculum review and quality assurance of the seminar programme.
- Maintain accurate records of student participation, performance, and progress.
- Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:
- A BNSc/B.Sc (Nursing) is required; a Master's degree (M.Sc Nursing) is strongly preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Registered Midwife (RM) with a current, valid NMCN licence.
- Proven scholarship, research, and/or student-supervision experience.
- At least 3 years of clinical and/or teaching experience.
- Strong analytical, academic-writing, and presentation skills.
- Competence in digital learning and research tools.
- Commitment to student-centred teaching and the ICARE core values.
