Job Summary
We are seeking to hire a dedicated procurement officer to oversee the purchasing and receiving of food and beverages in alignment with company policies and standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Order products and supplies, selecting appropriate vendors by comparing price and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and community partners.
- Negotiate and secure products and services at the best prices without compromising quality
- Ensure requisitions are properly approved before purchases are made
- Develop and maintain a food management database to keep accurate records of inventory, purchases, and waste.
- Ensure food and beverage items are in stock at the appropriate time and in optimal condition, particularly perishables like animal produce and dairy.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and work with accounts to reconcile any discrepancies
- Receive and verify the accuracy and quality of orders before confirming receipt.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding incomplete deliveries and confirm future delivery expectations
- Provide advice and guidance to management on procurement matters.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience
- OND Certificate
- Familiarity with Lagos food markets is essential
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong command of written and oral English
