Job summary
Reens Suites & Apartments is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, baked goods, and related items, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and excellent presentation in line with our hospitality standards.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and baked goods
- Ensure all pastries meet quality, taste, and presentation standards
- Develop and improve dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Chef
- Monitor portion control and minimise waste
- Assist in food prepping with the chef if no orders placed for pastries
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Properly store ingredients and finished products
- Assist with stock control and ingredient ordering
- Ensure consistency in product quality and service delivery
- Follow standard recipes and preparation methods
- Uphold Reens Suites & Apartments’ food and service standards
- Work closely with kitchen teams
- Support special events, functions, and guest requests
- Train and assist junior kitchen staff when required
Requirements:
- Minimum of Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Must be neat and orderly
- Attention to details
