Job Summary
To oversee the daily operations of the poultry section, ensuring optimal health, productivity, and welfare of birds. The role involves supervising poultry attendants, maintaining biosecurity and safety standards, and ensuring efficient feed, water, and environmental management to achieve high production performance.

Job Description/Requirements
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of poultry attendants to ensure daily routines are effectively carried out.
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance to maintain high productivity levels.
- Ensure the overall health, hygiene, and safety of poultry birds through proper vaccination, medication, and biosecurity practices.
- Monitor birds for signs of illness or distress and promptly report or manage issues as required.
- Maintain an accurate feeding and watering schedule, ensuring proper feed formulation and water balance.
- Track feed consumption and wastage to promote efficiency and cost control.
- Oversee cleaning, fumigation, and maintenance of poultry houses, equipment, and surrounding areas.
- Ensure proper ventilation, temperature, and lighting conditions in poultry houses.
- Maintain daily records of mortality, feed intake, egg or meat production, and medication administration.
- Prepare and submit routine operational and performance reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with farm health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Implement strict biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks and contamination.\
- ND, HND, or B.Sc. in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field (an advantage).
- Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in poultry management or farm supervision.
- Strong knowledge of poultry nutrition, vaccination, and disease management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under minimal supervision.
- Must be physically fit and willing to live near or on the farm premises, if required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Commitment to animal welfare and biosecurity best practices.
- Reliability and integrity in managing farm resources.
Remuneration: NGN 150,000 – 200,000 Monthly (based on experience)
Location: Benin City, Edo State
