Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Continuously improve the company's Nigeria’s competitiveness by providing a comprehensive first-class operational customer service with on-time delivery, highest level of service quality and timely responsiveness
- Continuously improve the performance, productivity, and efficiency of departmental and organizational operations
- Provision of effective methods and strategies to implement a lean yet agile structure whilst mitigating risks to ensure business continuity
- Liaise with Sales and Technical to develop an optimal product portfolio for the rental fleet and sales inventory
- Establish appropriate inventory coverage for sales items;
- Effectively manage material investment / disinvestment to drive utilization as per Management Plan and discussion with subsidiary management.
- Successful and effective delivery of all projects
- Maintain an operation with a high QHSE standard
- To support the region as Center of Excellence
- Execute order management activities in accordance with the company's guidelines and LTC process
- Liaise with the company's Commercial Standards & Systems team in order to keep the company's Nigeria up-to-date with the latest Group standards & Lead-to-Cash processes related to CSM.
- Be the business excellence ambassador to ensure continuous improvement of the company's Nigeria’s service delivery and competitiveness in the market,
- Help the company maintain strong customer relations by superior service delivery
- Functional responsibility for Material Planning, Yard Logistics, Customer Service Management.
- Maintaining the appropriate operational performance of the company Nigeria as set out in Management Plan or agreed with management for each period
- Optimization, increase of efficiency and cost management along with operational and logistic processes in order to help sustain or improve subsidiary profitability as set out in the Management Plan.
- Safety of all staff, customers and visitors.
- Identify, define and lead improvement projects, and strategic target Implementation.
- Maintenance and upkeep of all company assets, property and services including facilities management for the company's Nigeria stockyard and branch offices
- Prepare documentation as it pertain to operations function and facilitate the annual audit process (both internal or external audits).
- Coordinate between Sales Team and Technical Team in meeting customer expectations by providing a comprehensive first class operational service.
- Develop relationships with key clients in line with company strategy including implementation of losses and damage process (Zero Damage Campaign).
- Responsibility for the quantity (including breadth of portfolio) and quality of Inventory and Rental Stock in compliance with PERI Rental Criteria.
- Working closely with functional heads/managers (Sales Director, Technical Manager, HSEQ Supervisor, CFO and Marketing Manager) to ensure consistent and efficient working practices.
- Induction / further development / succession planning of operations staff.
- Direct responsibility for the processing of customer orders.
- Communication of all key information to the operations staff.
- Ensure successful delivery for mega projects by project management
- Act as Head of Contracts Management to manage all 3rd party supplier contracts (including development of draft templates, negotiation and record management)
- Best Practices - Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
- Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
- Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
- Budgeting & Cost Control – support management planning process by developing operations budget and providing other relevant inputs.
- Ensure resource allocation and actual spend in line with budgets and updated forecasts to optimize earning’s performance of the subsidiary
- Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery as well as providing technical support where necessary.
- Strategic Input - Liaison with top management and assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity..
- To have a proactive responsibility and awareness for the company Nigeria’s health & safety procedures related to the area of responsibility.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's Degree and/or appropriate qualification in the field of Business management or Engineering
- Health and Safety Qualification added advantage
- Solid experience in Order Management or Logistics
- Operational/Logistics experience, ideally within the company's world or in construction services environment
- Proven interpersonal skill competence
- Proven experience in management of a team of comparable size
- Practical knowledge of cost control and management
- Objective-orientated
- Strong work ethic, open and reliable
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Trustworthy and honesty
- Sympathetic to the company's culture
- Good knowledge of MS office
- Fluent in English
