House Keeper
Job summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment within assigned premises. The role ensures that rooms, offices, or facility spaces are properly cleaned, well-arranged, and consistently presented to a high standard of hygiene and comfort.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize assigned areas (rooms, bathrooms, offices, corridors, etc.)
- Make beds, change linens, and ensure rooms are properly arranged
- Dust furniture, vacuum, mop floors, and dispose of waste appropriately
- Replenish toiletries, towels, and other consumables as required
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper usage of cleaning materials
- Report any damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards promptly
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards at all times
- Assist with laundry duties where applicable (washing, ironing, folding)
- Support occasional deep-cleaning exercises and special cleaning tasks
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE / WAEC or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality roles is an advantage
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning tasks
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Honest, reliable, and well-groomed appearance
- Ability to communicate basic instructions in English or the local language
