General Manager, Power Plant

We are excited to announce an opening for the General Manager, Power Plant position in the Dangote Cement Plc.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies that aim to achieve cost-efficient and effective operations of the Power Plant. Plan, organize, coordinate, and control the operations of the Power Plant while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Oversee the schedules and manage the performance of the Power Plant personnel to ensure the smooth execution of operations. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as suppliers, contractors, and other relevant parties. Monitor and ensure that the Power Plant operates within its budget, and report on any variances. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Promote a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, communication, and employee growth. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Plant Director from time to time.

Candidates must be willing to work in any of the Plant locations across Nigeria.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 21 Years experience in Gas Turbine based power plants Instrumentation maintenance. In-depth knowledge of power plant operation and maintenance, preferably in combined cycle plants with gas turbines. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience in managing budgets. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Proactive and able to work under pressure.
