Job Summary
Cassadel is looking to hire a Commercial Manager who will oversee Cassadel’s Cassava Supply Chain operations including sales and distribution of cassava starch products. The commercial manager must be a self-starter interested in being part of a young dynamic organization and will be responsible for building his/her own supply team, as well as developing the processes and infrastructure necessary to support the development of robust operations including sales. The commercial manager will also be in charge of developing the quality standard and auditing standards that partner farmers will need to meet as well as the procedures to follow to ensure that they are met.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- The Commercial Manager ensures a sufficient supply of feedstock and the availability of branded products
- Develop the company’s cassava supply chain strategy
- Identify, develop, and manage the supply chain to meet cassava starch production needs
- Set up Contracts with farmers or independent owners to produce cassava to meet starch production demands based on standards
- Develop the contract farm operational framework as well as best practices and Standard Operating Procedures to be followed
- The candidate is passionate about his or her tasks and has great knowledge in marketing, supply and distribution, and selling.
- Balances a practical mindset with creative business acumen and leads people through complex marketing operations.
Requirements:
- 7+ years experience in sales and distribution, out of which 4+ years experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans in all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion, etc.).
- Good leadership ability.
- Strategic thinking and ability.
- Good understanding of market research and data analysis methods.
- Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels.
- Understanding of other business disciplines (Information Technology, finance).
- Sales team coverage management
- Key accounts management
- Direct-to-retail experience.
Location: Asaba, Delta. Preference would be for someone in Delta or anyone willing to relocate
Remuneration: NGN 400,000 monthly.
