Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients in the Oil & Gas industry. This role involves managing tendering processes, contract development, project execution, and client compliance. The ideal candidate should have experience in a Fabrication or Engineering Design company, be highly strategic, and possess strong negotiation skills. The Business Development Manager will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify new business opportunities, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the company’s long-term success.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Must be very passionate about the Job and have experience in a Fabrication Company or Engineering Design Company.
- Ensure the development of sustainable business relationships with new and existing clients such as IOC, DPR, NAPIMS, NNPC, and other regulatory bodies in the oil and gas industry throughout the lifecycle (from the initial stage of tendering, contracts development, project execution, and through closeout).
- Prepare the project’s technical prequalification proposal to clients and partners.
- Facilitate or assist as required in the strategy development and actual negotiation of technical, commercial, and contractual issues with customers and suppliers.
- Work closely with clients to identify prospective project needs for technical and commercial implementation and define acceptable parameters and limitations in the acquisition and execution of those projects.
- Develop and maintain a complete understanding of the business environment, market trends, driver,s and issues that will impact the company’s business.
- Ensure compliance of clients and partners with company principles.
- Source for clients’ future projects and follow up the progress.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Business Development Management
- Ability to Manage Documents and Internal Approval processes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within a Fabrication or Engineering Design company.
- Proven ability to build and sustain business relationships with key clients, including IOC, DPR, NAPIMS, NNPC, and other regulatory bodies.
- Experience in preparing technical prequalification proposals for clients and partners.
- Strong negotiation skills in handling technical, commercial, and contractual discussions with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to identify project needs, define implementation strategies, and manage execution processes.
- In-depth understanding of market trends, industry drivers, and business risks in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Experience in managing compliance and ensuring adherence to company principles.
- Strong track record of sourcing and following up on client projects.
- Excellent document management skills and ability to handle internal approval processes efficiently.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced business environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and business development tools.
