Job Summary
We are a newly established microfinance bank based in Ajah, Lagos, focused on providing innovative and customer-centric financial solutions. Our goal is to empower individuals and businesses through accessible and inclusive financial services. The Business Development Manager (Retail and Marketing) will lead the development and execution of business strategies to drive growth, revenue, and brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the microfinance and retail banking landscape, with a passion for driving sales, marketing innovation, and customer engagement.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage retail banking products and services tailored to target markets.
- Create and execute strategic plans to increase customer acquisition and retention.
- Lead, mentor, and manage retail sales teams to achieve business targets.
- Design and implement marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and advertising initiatives.
- Oversee customer relationship management and feedback processes.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships and business collaborations to boost growth.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and business opportunities.
- Develop pricing strategies, channel development, and customer segmentation plans.
- Monitor and evaluate campaign effectiveness and report on key performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to marketing and product offerings.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and finance teams to align business development efforts.
- Champion digital banking growth and adoption through marketing and strategic planning.
- Drive strategies to ensure cost control while maximizing revenue potential.
- Represent the bank at external forums, exhibitions, and networking events.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a first degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in business development or marketing in the financial services sector (microfinance banking preferred).
- Proven track record in sales, marketing strategy, product development, and team leadership.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in developing and managing business development frameworks and KPIs.
- Certifications in marketing, sales, or banking will be an added advantage.

Location: Ajah, Lagos
Remuneration: NGN 6 Million Annual Gross (upon confirmation)
