Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities for business growth, including new markets, industries, or customer segments.
Lead Generation: Identify and generate leads through various methods, such as cold calling, email outreach, networking, and social media.
Prospect Outreach: Initiate and maintain contact with potential clients or partners to establish relationships and promote the company's products or services.
Sales Pitch: Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations to prospects, highlighting the value proposition of the company's offerings.
Negotiation: Negotiate terms and agreements with potential clients or partners, including pricing, contracts, and terms of partnership or collaboration.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders to foster trust and loyalty.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and growth targets.
Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain a sales pipeline, tracking leads and opportunities through various stages of the sales cycle.
Market Expansion: Identify opportunities for market expansion and penetration and formulate strategies to enter new markets.
Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitors' activities, products, and strategies to identify opportunities and threats.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports and updates on sales activities, leads, and progress toward sales goals for management review.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's products or services and how they can meet customer needs.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
Customer Feedback: Gather and relay customer feedback and insights to inform product or service improvements and enhancements.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in business development.
Travel: Depending on the industry and role, business developers may be required to travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, or explore new markets.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's degree in any related discipline
- Minimum of 1 year of sales and marketing experience
- Excellent interpersonal and people skills
- Proficiency in using collaboration and productivity tools
