The Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Department at the Regional Hub Europe is looking for a Business Controller
The Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department (based in Brussels & Paris) is part of Finance within the Regional HUB Europe.
The Regional HUB Europe supports 4 GBUâs (Renewables, Energy Solutions, Networks and Flex Gen & Retail), in 10 countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Belgium, The Netherlands & United Kingdom).
The FP&A department has a key role in the European Hubâs mission as Business & Performance partner for the GBUs in Europe by providing qualitative FP&A services, contributing to delivering the G&A saving targets as well as optimizing FP&A processes.
This means more specifically:
Provide monthly/quarterly business performance reviews to GBUs Provide consolidated MTP review by GBU Together with the FBPs (Finance business partners) of the GBUs, ensure efficient business performance & MTP reviews with the countries Provide in-depth cost analysis Prepare quarterly review meetings with support functions (Finance, HR, Legal & IT) Support the G&A performance plan target setting & propose action plans in close coordination with countries & FBP Monitor, review & execute G&A performance action plans Coordinate/Perform specific ad hoc performance reviews & financial analysis for the GBUsYour mission as Business Controler
In this role as Business Controller, you will primarily contribute to the FP&A mission by the following activities:
Monthly closing process for the Corporate of the Operational area Flex Gen Europe (preparing accruals, ensuring the right flows, â¦). Follow-up on the correct accounting for this scope. Ensure a smooth process for setting up & accounting for the SLA/Management fee contracts between the group/GBU, the Operational area & the countries Ensure smooth interactions with GBS, Procurement, HR, Group Corporate, Suppliers, T&G Belgium, Local controllers, ⦠Contribute to documentation for transfer pricing Any particular ad hoc requests, particularly for audit purposes Provide regular reporting on the actual costs from the ERP systems (for instance, for IT)In a first instance, the scope of these activities will be the Operational area Flex Gen Europe. It might be extended to the European Hub Corporate & probably other Operational areas in function of further optimization of the FP&A processes. You will be allocated certain controlling activities related to the monthly/quarterly business performance reviews & MTP preparation, primarily for the GBU Flex Gen & Retail. You might be involved in certain deep dives in specific matters.Your profile as Business Controler
you have a university degree in Finance, Economics, and/or an MBA or relevant professional qualification. you have up to 5 yearsâ experience in accounting/business controlling. Some experience at operational entity & corp. levels is a plus. Strong skills in IT Finance Systems or equivalent. Particularly, strong skills in ERP systems is recommended. Having already knowledge on the group Smart/MDT tools is a plus. Rigorous, analytical skills & good organizational and planning skills You are driven by performance, efficiencies and process simplification You have a sound business orientation rooted in understanding of value creation levers & cost optimization mindset Ability to build and update relevant analytical reports. Strong in structured business-oriented communication & giving good (written) executive synthesis Interest in developing knowledge of the business models and challenges of the different GBUs The ability to communicate at different levels of the organization, across different geographical locations and with people with different cultural background.
