Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities and lead a large team of factory floor workers during assigned shifts.
- Monitor workflow to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to production schedules.
- Enforce company policies and maintain discipline and accountability among workers.
- Coordinate with quality control, maintenance, and warehouse teams to resolve any disruptions to production.
- Ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Train and motivate team members to meet performance goals and maintain high standards.
- Maintain detailed shift reports and escalate production issues to management as needed.
- Monitor the use of raw materials and minimize wastage.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized working environment at all times.
Requirements:
- HND/BSc in Food Science, Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in the bakery or food industry.
- Proven experience supervising large teams and handling shift-based operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Sound understanding of production metrics, safety protocols, and labor coordination.
Preferred Qualities:
- Strong-willed and decisive with excellent organizational ability.
- Physically fit and willing to be present on the production floor for extended periods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic production management tools.
