Assistant General Manager, Instrumentation Engineering - Cement Plant

We are seeking an Assistant General Manager, Instrumentation Engineering to lead a team of highly skilled professionals in the design, modification, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems. Our Cement Plant is the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa with a capacity of 20 million metric tonnes and is a key player in our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the implementation of new technologies and will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most innovative projects in Africa.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage budgets for the Instrumentation Department Lead the execution of automation and instrumentation projects Develop and implement systems for instrument calibration, maintenance, and testing Prioritize and manage staff workload to ensure successful completion of high-quality work Oversee the management of the plant's distributed control system Participate in safety and environmental compliance initiatives Implement and oversee plant reliability measures

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field A minimum of 15 years relevant experience within a cement plant or manufacturing industry Professional Engineering Certification required Strong leadership and management skills Proficient in project management and procurement processes Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams Strong technical skills in PLC, DCS and SCADA systems
