Job Summary

We are seeking a School Secretary who will be responsible for maintaining accurate student records, supporting school-wide communication efforts, and ensuring effective documentation management. This role requires a smart, mature, and articulate professional who is confident, well-presented, and capable of interacting professionally with teenagers, staff, and visitors.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date student records in both physical and digital formats.
  • Organise and maintain proper filing systems for student records, correspondence, and confidential documents.
  • Draft, edit, and disseminate internal and external communications such as newsletters, circulars, memos, text messages, and emails to parents, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students, managing the school reception with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Provide secretarial and scheduling support to the school leadership team, including booking appointments and preparing documents.
  • Support the Administrative Manager in coordinating the restocking of administrative materials and student forms.
  • Assist with new student intake and ensure proper documentation when a student leaves the school.
  • Maintain academic and event calendars and communicate changes to staff and parents.
  • Assist in circulating memos, meeting reminders, and staff communications as needed.
  • Handle all school-related information with discretion and maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years in an administrative or secretarial role.

  • Knowledge of office filing systems (manual and digital)
  • Comfort using school management or student information systems


Remuneration: NGN 150,000 - 250,000
