Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Front Office Operations:
- Manage day-to-day front desk activities including reception, phone calls, visitor sign-in, and mail distribution.
- Maintain student, staff and visitors attendance records, filing systems, and office supplies inventory.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and school events logistics.
- Support enrollment and registration processes end to end.
Family Engagement:
- Serve as a first point of contact for parents/guardians, addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Distribute newsletters, notices, and communication materials to families.
- Maintain updated family contact information and communication logs.
- Support school-family partnership initiatives and parent meetings.
Community Relations:
- Build relationships with local organizations, partners, and stakeholders to support school activities and outreach programs.
- Assist in organizing community-based events, volunteer initiatives, and school campaigns.
- Maintain a calendar of community engagement events and partnerships. Administrative Support
- Support school leadership in preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Coordinate student records and support compliance with school policies and procedures.
- Train and supervise office and care assistants or volunteers, if applicable.
Responsibilities to the Department and School:
- Be respectful of the needs of colleagues and the department concerning cooperation, collegiality, deadlines, and team cohesion
- Participate positively in departmental meetings, follow policies, and generally contribute to the effective and efficient running of the department
- Promote professional dialogue, share ideas about teaching and learning, and support other teachers in developing good practices and new approaches and initiatives
- Take part in, and contribute to, INSET activities offered in the department and by the school
- Enthusiastically contribute to cross-curricular links and initiatives, and Leadership in
- Action activities 6. Be involved in new responsibilities within the department as part of an ongoing process of professional development
- Keep up to date with developments in the subject, and education generally
Other Responsibilities:
- Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Head of Department, Head of
- Faculty or members of the Senior Leadership Team and any duties that the Head of school deems necessary for the effective operation of the school
Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in administration, communication, or education-related field preferred.
- 3+ years of front office or administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace, student information systems).
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
Preferred Attributes:
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., English and a local language) are an asset.
- Experience working with school-aged children and families.
- Knowledge of community resources and family support services.
Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja
Remuneration: NGN 200,000 and above
