Job Summary

We are seeking an Administration Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the school’s operational and support services, including facility inspections, logistics, supplies, and general administration. This role requires a smart, detail-oriented professional with experience managing facilities, supervising support staff, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth running of all non-teaching activities, including maintenance, logistics, and supplies.
  • Manage cleaners, bus drivers, security personnel, and janitors, ensuring they carry out their duties effectively.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the school to identify faulty equipment or areas needing repair, and coordinate repairs promptly.
  • Oversee the supply and storage of textbooks, stationery, and other school materials; keep detailed records of usage.
  • Manage school buses, track routes, and ensure vehicles are serviced and running efficiently.
  • Monitor health and safety practices on the premises and ensure policies are followed.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for maintenance, repairs, or supplies, and ensure service quality.
  • Work with the finance team to monitor spending on admin needs and suggest cost-saving measures.
  • Coordinate logistics for school activities like PTA meetings, sports events, and special programs.
  • Submit weekly reports on facilities, staff activities, and operational needs to the Head of School.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Business, or related fields..
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in school or facility management.
  • Exposure to logistics or operations supervision is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify facility issues early
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple operations at once
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel for tracking inventory and budgets)
  • Understanding of basic facility and asset management practices
  • Knowledge of inventory systems and store management processes
  • Familiarity with transport coordination and scheduling
  • Comfortable using digital tools to record and report operational data
  • Awareness of workplace safety and compliance standards


Remuneration: NGN 150,000 - 250,000
