Manager - Budget and Business Planning.Finance

Reports To: Senior Manager, Finance Services and Control Technology Division: Finance Mission To manage, co-ordinate and oversee the activities of the business and budget planning for Network Group and to coordinate the development of NWG strategy in line with MTN Nigeria strategic objectives. Description Analyze the assumptions in the business plan to guarantee an appreciable level of predictability and to reduce unexpected results.  Prepare and circulate monthly report of NWG KPIs. Understand the telecom industry as well as future developments and their impact on MTNN business plan. Seek input from marketing to develop Network Group budget and business plan and strategy. Embark on extensive research in mining data from current operational realities and impact analysis on business plan forecast. Carry out business plan forecast in line with organizational requirements and based on the set NWG rollout/build objectives. Prepare NWG quarterly capital expenditure board papers and obtain approval from MTNN board. Review monthly actual expenditure in line with budget assumption to facilitate quarterly Opex and Capex forecast. Review performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules. Education: First degree in Accounting or Economics or related area of study. A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). MBA is desirable. Fluent in English. Experience: 6 - 13 years’ experience which includes: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others. Experience working in a medium to large organization. Hands on experience covering similar functions in multinational Manufacturing or Telecommunication companies.
