Job Summary

Seeking a competent, proactive, and highly organized Store Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of the supermarket. The Store Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, driving sales, maintaining excellent customer service standards, and ensuring the store meets all business objectives.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff to meet sales and service goals.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely reordering of products to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, product display, and shelf labelling according to company standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Prepare and analyse sales reports and financial data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with the procurement and accounting teams to manage budgeting, cost control, and profit margins.
  • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive traffic and boost sales.
  • Enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards across the store.
  • Prevent theft and manage loss prevention measures.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment among staff.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a supermarket or FMCG environment.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, sales techniques, and customer service principles.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
