The successful candidate will provide leadership for the firm's operations while driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, business growth, and superior client service.

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the firm's operational activities.
- Manage and supervise all capital market operations, including trade execution support, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and custody processes.
- Ensure full compliance with the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigerian Exchange (NGX), Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS), and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify and manage operational risks while ensuring effective business continuity processes.
- Drive operational efficiency through process improvement and technology adoption.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team to achieve high performance and service excellence.
- Develop and execute business development initiatives aimed at increasing the firm's market share, client base, and revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional and retail clients, regulators, and other market stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and provide timely insights on capital market trends, investment opportunities, and regulatory developments to support business decisions.
- Prepare periodic operational and management reports for executive management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, banking, or any other related business discipline.
- Professional qualification as an Associate or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) is mandatory.
- Minimum of seven (7) years' cognate experience in capital market operations, preferably within a stockbroking firm or other licensed capital market institution.
- Demonstrable experience in securities trading operations, settlement, clearing, reconciliation, regulatory reporting, and operational risk management.
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management within the capital market.
- Sound knowledge of the Nigerian capital market, market products, regulatory framework, and industry best practices.
