Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Shopping for organic produce, and ensuring ingredient supply levels are accurate.
- Preparing menus and ensuring they match Company specifications and standards.
- Cooking and delivering high quality, seasonal food to Guests.
- Implementing quality control / quality assurance checks for each meal served.
- Ensuring all food production, quality, safety, cleanliness and sanitary standards are in line with Company specifications, Nafdac’s recommendations, global HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) regulations, and global Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Making sure culinary tools and equipment are properly cleaned after every use, and maintained in continuous, excellent working order.
- Maintaining a sanitary and organized work area.
- Training and continuous training of kitchen staff in all kitchen and service best practices and standards.
- Advising on food and wine pairing.
- Following position-specific task sheets and schedules.
Requirements:
- Friendly, outgoing and personable.
- Customer-focused with a hands-on, can-do, nothing-is-too-much attitude to work.
- Meticulous and highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Must be keen to excel.
- Able to follow step-by-step instructions and food preparation guidelines.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Computer literate.
- Possess a good command of the English language.
- Can read and write one of the main indigenous languages in Nigeria: Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa
Remuneration: EUR 1,200 per month
