Job Summary

Responsible for the coordination of the bank’s procurement activities by putting in place appropriate structures and policies as well as adequately accounting for and managing all physical assets – fixed and inventory assets- across the Bank. Manage the budget and financial resources of the organization or department.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Implement approved procedures for the management of the assets (facilities, utilities, equipment, and vehicles) across the bank.
  • Ensure optimal allocation and management of physical assets bank-wide.
  • Ensure that the department is operating within budgetary limits and operating within financial budget constraints while providing services that are cost-effective and fit for purpose.
  • Review utility consumption and strive to minimize cost.
  • Select vendors and suppliers based on industrial best practices and standards
  • Execute policies and standards operating procedures for procurement, contract management, tendering, etc.
  • Coordinating regular audits or inspections of the bank’s facilities to ascertain their condition.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Direct and plan all essential services such as security, cleaning, waste disposal, building maintenance, etc.
  • Oversee the Optimization and usage of all fleet assets.
  • Develop and communicate Health Safety and Environment Management policies and procedures that outline the safety duties and guidelines for employees.
  • Investigate workplace incidences and conduct risk assessments and mitigating strategies.
  • Foster open communication channels for reporting HSE concerns and issues.
  • Conduct basic First Aid.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of administrative staff who provide clerical and technical duties so that the quality of work meets performance expectations for JLMB.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of B.sc in Business Administration, or any discipline with relevant professional certification in Environment, Health, Safety, and Security Management.
  • MBA or MSC will be an additional advantage.
  • Knowledge of a Mortgage bank’s structure policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Banking industry.
  • Knowledge of the Mortgage industry.
  • Knowledge of managing physical assets
  • Knowledge of fleet management & maintenance policy.
