Job Summary

The General Manager will lead our dedicated team and drive the achievement of our ambitious business objectives. This position will be accountable for the delivery of our OPCO's business objectives, ensuring the provision of high-quality service to our valued clients and customers.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Leading strategic development and expansion projects, advising executive management on business risks, opportunities, and compliance. 
  • Leading, evaluating, and developing a high-performing management team, fostering a culture aligned with our core values.
  • Actively sourcing new business, driving profitability and growth, overseeing the generation of new projects, and contributing to long- and short-term business development plans.
  • Assuming control of all operational and commercial functions to ensure client-focused project delivery, and maintaining high project management standards.
  • Overseeing quality assurance, and technical operations (plant/machinery).
  • Developing and monitoring robust HSE and security strategies, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
  • Cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with host communities and promoting a culture of integrity transparency and accountability.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; MBA/master’s in management/engineering preferred
  • Relevant management qualification or training.
  • Professional membership in Engineering (COREN or NSE) if an Engineer.
  • Significant relevant work experience, with a strong background in Drilling Operations.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in managerial or leadership positions, demonstrating success in managing people, budgets, and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions including Business Development, Sales, Financial Analysis, and Supply Chain Management
