The business partnership, support and mentoring we provide our start-ups offer the leverage to break barriers and achieve success in commercializing their product or services and in building a viable business enterprise. With the recent growth driven by the desire to increase our market share and expand our business horizon, we seek to recruit a resourceful, competent and result-oriented person to join the team and fill the position of Commodity Export Manager.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • The successful person will handle areas of global business operations such as sales, logistics, and compliance; serves as an intermediary between foreign buyers and domestic sellers.
  • S/He will be responsible for the logistics of getting the goods to the purchaser in another country and ensuring the goods meet the required standards of the importing country.
  • S/He will be responsible for selling and promoting their company's goods abroad and coordinating the international shipment.
  • The Commodity Export Manager will supervise a team of export professionals and must have excellent interpersonal skills to deliver on the export business needs of the company.
  • S/He will be willing to work with people from various cultures as exportation is an inherently international position; negotiate with a variety of people, such as shippers, agents and vendors, and are expected to have excellent customer service skills with customers.
  • S/He must demonstrate leadership to manage teams and customer service to maintain and expand clientele.
  • Adaptability is essential when working with potentially unfamiliar customs and the issues that may arise when moving goods across different countries.


Requirements:

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Agricultural Economics, International Relations, Marketing or a similar field.
  • Must possess ten (10) years of cognate work experience in import and export-related business; direct commodity export experience is preferable.
  • Must have good knowledge of the company's products and how they are classified for exportation.
  • Knowledgeable about export administration regulations and international commodity export regulations, including tariff schedules, trade agreements, and international quality standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of customs laws, rules and regulations.
  • Must demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for an organization's vision, and motivates, leads and empowers others to achieve organizational goals.
