Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential business opportunities in the maritime industry
  • Analyze customer needs and global market trends to develop strategies for growth.


Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Lead negotiations and close deals with clients to secure new contracts and partnerships.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing with clients.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Ensure excellent service and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly update clients on existing and new services and developments within the company.


Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set and meet sales targets and KPIs.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development activities and adjust strategies as needed.


Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with other departments, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to develop ideas and coordinate promotional campaigns tailored to promote our various service offerings for increased company visibility and engagement


Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and business development activities


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Maritime Studies, or a related field. A master’s degree in relevant field is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the maritime industry, with a focus on customer relations.
  • Strong knowledge of the maritime industry, including shipping, logistics, and port operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Multilingual skill is an advantage.
