Business Development Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic business plan to achieve and exceed sales goals, including identifying new market opportunities and penetrating new territories.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, retail partners, and industry influencers.
• Oversee a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and results.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform product development and marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to business growth.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement and success.
  

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business development or sales management role, preferably in the home fragrance or consumer goods industry.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of the home fragrance market, including customer preferences, competitor landscape, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a focus on achieving results.
• Experience in hiring, training, and developing sales personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in managing and driving retail results with department stores and specialty retailers.
  
• Knowledge of the fragrance evaluation process and sensory experience will be an added advantage.
