Votre environnement de travailAction Contre La Faim (ACF) has been operational since 2010 in Northeast and has been able to successfully implement integrated programs in Nutrition, Health, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) and Water, sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) further the mission has expanded its programs in the wake of conflict in Borno state since 2017 , focusing on long term sustainable programs focused on system strengthening for Health, WASH, Social Protection, and Agriculture sectors. The mission is currently in the process to launch response in the Northwest Nigeria. In 2018, ACF launched the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) in Nigeria in an effort to address the urgent humanitarian assistance to the displaced populations in Northern Nigeria. With this Approach ACF is among the lead agency that is currently reaching the NE &NW regions with Rapid Humanitarian assistance for to the conflict and other disaster affected population. Currently, without conspiring LGAs reached on RRM modality, ACF is providing an integrated humanitarian response in Yobe State (12 Local Government Areas (LGAs), Borno (11 LGAs), Bauchi (2 LGAs) and Jigawa (6 LGAs) with partial presence in Kano. Despite the remarkable achievements in humanitarian sector, ACF, as other humanitarian actors, has been continuously affected by the shrinking humanitarian space. Security, working and living conditions: The Nigerian security environment is volatile, especially in the Northeast and Northwest, where the mission is operating. Specific to the Northeast, the Non-State Armed Groups (NSAG) regular attacks on the military, government and humanitarian installations have made the majority of the locations inaccessible and the mission has prioritized the use of UNHAS choppers while completely banning its staff from using road transport. Moreover, international staff are allowed to stay in a few locations outside the main state capitals of Yobe and Borno. In the Northwest area of the country, abductions and killings have occurred regularly in the past against the mission and the mission has strict measures to be followed while in these locations. © Sebastien Duijndam pour Action contre la Faim Votre poste et vos responsabilités Your main responsibilitie is to lead the implementation of Action Against Hunger food security and livelihoods (FSL) humanitarian and developmental programmes at the mission level with the aim to achieve the mission strategic goals and objectives, and more specifically :Lead FSL situation analysis and assessment;Identify priorities and design FSL interventions including supporting, needs assessment (including market assessment);Post Distribution Monitoring and other surveys mainly for the humanitarian programme; In collaboration with team, develop and deliver annual/quarterly/monthly work/activity plans, follow up the implementation of plans and ensure timely review/adjust them to achieve committed target. This includes in coordination with program team deliver progress reports in timely manner and or according to agreed deadlines; Provide technical support in all aspects of the project management cycle in ensuring the integration of ACF FSL strategy and quality standards; Contribute to the mission monthly technical situation report and Activity Progress Report (APRs) Votre profil You hold a master degree in agronomy, environmental sciences, biology or any other relevant discipline in Food, security & livehood and Emergency response Program for Natural and conflict disaster.You have minimum 5 years experience in FSL sector in the field of humanitarian cooperation in challenging context.Cash and market assessments and child and gender protection are part of your strengths.Humanitarian project cycle management, donor reporting rules and compliance do not have secret for you. You demonstrate good knowledge of humanitarian aid and/or development and you are good at synthesising, analysing and have writing skills.You are an experienced manager, able to support and empower your team.You are proactive, creative, autonomous and able to absorb important workload and work under pressure. If you know ACF internal process it is a plus! You are fluent in english.
