Storekeeper

Responsibilities:

• Receive, check, and store food, beverage, and non-food items as per the restaurant’s inventory needs
• Ensure the proper organisation of stock in the storeroom and kitchen, keeping all items easily accessible
• Monitor stock levels, reorder products, and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records
• Perform regular stock rotation (FIFO method) and check for expired or damaged goods
• Assist with the preparation of purchase orders and track deliveries
• Work closely with kitchen and management teams to anticipate stock needs and ensure timely replenishment
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas, ensuring adherence to safety and health standards
• Perform stocktakes and audits as required
• Help with the delivery and distribution of supplies to various areas of the restaurant
• Assist with waste control and reduction by ensuring proper handling and storage of products
• Report any issues, discrepancies, or damaged items to management promptly

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the restaurant or food service industry
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities
• Understanding of food safety standards and best practices
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
