Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all menu items including: Grilled meats (suya, shawarma, wings, whole chicken, grilled fish), American-style comfort food (burgers, hotdogs, crispy chicken and Nigerian staples (jollof rice, fried rice, pasta, plantain, yam, puff puff)
- Execute recipes accurately and consistently.
- Set up and manage cooking stations for daily operations.
- Ensure food is prepared quickly and plated/presented for packaging properly.
- Monitor portion sizes, reduce food waste, and control inventory usage.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
- Follow NAFDAC-compliant hygiene, safety, and food handling procedures.
- Work collaboratively with fellow chefs and communicate clearly with the team.
- Adapt to feedback and evolving SOPs to meet quality and speed expectations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role (grill house, fast food, or street food setup).
- Skilled in grilling, frying, sauce prep, and multi-order management.
- Strong understanding of flavour, timing, and customer expectations.
- Ability to work morning or night shifts as scheduled.
- Must be reliable, organised, and able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Familiarity with food portioning and cost control is a strong plus.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods during shifts.
